Boys' Soccer ⚽️

A sluggish first half lacking execution and proper decision making led to a 1-1 halftime tie against conference rival Dominican on September 23rd. However, a quick second half goal by Alex Pias ’25 (40′) jump-started the offense and opened the floodgates during a half in which the Hawks showed crisp combination play up top. Sonny Wilton ’25, notching his first career hat trick (16′, 46′, 65′), and Roy Rivera ’26 (47′, 50′) led the scoring charge. Assisting on goals for Prairie were Wilton, Rivera, Arnav Deshpande ’25, and Gabi Kuvshinikov ’25. The Hawks emerged victorious with a 6-1 score.

On Wednesday, despite controlling large portions against Racine St. Catherine’s, the Hawks fell to the rival Angels 3-1. Trailing 2-0 in the 36th minute, Pias scored the Hawks lone goal off a pass from Ty Ouradnik ’27. Despite not being the result the team hoped for, Coach Manley was proud of the fight in his players. The team is eager to correct some mistakes as they head into the back half of the season.

Going into a tiebreaker, she delivered the win (6-4, 2-6, 10-5) to push the Hawks to a 4-3 victory.
