After an opening-round bye, the Hawks took on Clinton in the regional semi-final in the JAC on Friday, February 28th. They came away with a 92-37 win against the Cougars. Taking their signature defensive pressure up a notch, the girls held Clinton to 11 points to go into the half with a 53-11 lead. Led by JJ Barnes ’25 with 22 points, the girls saw four players score in double-figures. Meg Decker ’25 scored 20, Amiyah Galica ’26 added 16, while Finley Remington ’27 added 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Playing on back-to-back days for only the second time this season, the girls took on Abundant Life Christian/St. Ambrose in the regional final in the JAC on Saturday, March 1st. The Hawks took an early lead and didn’t look back on their way to an 80-37 victory to become Regional Champions for the fourth straight year. Barnes and Decker led the way again with 22 and 20 points, respectively, with Galica adding 17 on the way to the win. The Hawks kept up their defensive energy, leading to 23 steals and holding the Challengers to under 30% shooting from the field. The Hawks closed out their regular season at Racine Lutheran on Thursday, February 27th, and lost 83-55 to the conference co-champ. Chandler Perry ’27 led the Hawks with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Nolan Greb ’26 added 14 points.

The Hawks took on Milwaukee Lifelong Learning in the opening round of the postseason on Tuesday, March 4th, and moved on to the second round after a 73-48 win against the Wizards. The boys jumped out to an early 17-0 lead in the game’s opening minutes on their way to the victory. Though the Wizards were able to force some errors, the Hawks held on. “Ultimately, we won and got to move on, which is what it’s all about at this time of year,” said Coach Atanasoff.  “March is crazy; anything can happen, and this young but confident group truly believes in each other.” The Hawks had four players score in double figures, led by Perry’s 17 points. Ryan Vanoss ’27 and Greb each added 12, while Emmett Wassil ’28 had 11 points and team highs in rebounds (8) and assists (6).
