Prairie finds a way to celebrate — or rather, Jubilate — together in 2020.
The holidays at Prairie have always been special.
It’s the time of year we join in song, specifically “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Another crowd favorite: Jubilate, the annual winter concert when performers from Grades 5-12 gather in the Jack Mitchell Theater for not one, but two (usually sold-out) shows, to celebrate the sounds of the season.
It’s one of the most festive celebrations of the year, but unfortunately — like many other traditions and events during this strange year — it has been cancelled. Or has it?!
Prairie students and Performing Arts faculty have been working hard to present this year’s concert to family and friends in virtual form. Performances will feature the 5/6 Prairie Singers, Beginning & Intermediate Strings & Band, 7/8 Prairie Voices, 7/8 Symphonic Orchestra, Upper School Chamber Orchestra, Upper School Concert Choir, and Upper School Symphonic Orchestra.
So bake your favorite Prairie recipe and log on next week to enjoy this year’s holiday concert! The link will be live on the Prairie Shows page on Monday, December 21st by 7:00PM.
During this year’s 12 Days of Giving, we are introducing you to a few more People of Prairie, and sharing some of the relationships that help define our community. You can support this year’s 12 Days of Giving campaign and help grow inspiration and creativity all across campus with a gift to the Prairie Fund.
