Andrea Palmen '20 talks with Lance Allan about how athletics have played into her Prairie experience
Prairie pride is a powerful thing!
TMJ4 Sports recently aired a story featuring three-sport athlete and current Prairie senior Andrea Palmen ’20. Palmen participates in Girls’ Tennis (Fall), Girls’ Basketball (Winter), and Girls’ Soccer (Spring). At one point, golf was also part of that list! She and doubles partner Molly Cookman made a run for the WIAA State Tennis Tournament title in 2019, and she helped the soccer team win a state championship just last spring.
“I think because of the great community here, they make it so we are able to [participate in multiple co-curriculars],” Palmen describes to TMJ4’s Lance Allan. “Yes, academics are hard, but with the supportive teams in each sport, I’m able to fight through it.”

The Lady Hawks’ next opponent: Racine Lutheran, at 5:30PM on Tuesday, February 18th in the JAC.
