What Being a Hawk Means to Kelly
“For me, being a Hawk means creating an environment of togetherness and respect for everyone in my community, especially in the extremely diverse and multicultural environment of Prairie.” – Kelly B.
Fletcher Paulsen, US Vocal Music Teacher and Performing Arts Dept. Chair, shared, “Kelly is the perfect balance of confidence and humility, which makes him so easy to work with. He has an innate willingness to try new things and embraces feedback with grace and openness. Whether stepping into a challenging role on stage or exploring the world on the J-Term trip to London and Dublin, Kelly approaches everything with respect, enthusiasm, and engagement.”
Outside the performing arts, Kelly is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion as a senior member of the Multicultural Club. His commitment to creating a welcoming and respectful community is evident in all he does, from his leadership roles to his time as an athlete and musician.
Kelly’s creativity, work ethic, and ability to uplift those around him make him a Hawk You Should Know. Support Kelly and his cast and crewmate in the Upper School Players production of Something Rotten March 7th-9th.
