Athletics
Students-athletes who strive to be their best.
Learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom. It happens on the field, on the court, and in the water. It happens in the dugout and at the starting line. Every student at TPS has the opportunity to be an athlete thanks to our no-cut policy because we believe that sports are a way to develop confident, resilient young men and women. When you participate, it means more than just scoring points and earning trophies. Our focus is on building incredible teams – players and coaches – that show up, work hard, and understand what it looks like to be part of something bigger.
Supplying uniforms, equipment, and transportation for 14 varsity and JV programs as well as MS interscholastic and intramural sports takes careful planning. Additionally, hiring talented, mission-minded coaches to build successful teams is also a priority. Your gift to Athletics allows every student at Prairie to pursue the sport they love and grow in the process.
Gifts to Athletics support:
- Team uniforms and warm-ups
- Varsity team travel
- Coaching salaries
- Annual purchases like new equipment and video software
- Equipment upgrades like professional-level portable basketball hoops and a high-jump system

Lifetime of Impact
The impact you hope to have on Prairie can determine the type of gift you’d like to make. Below are two options that ensure our school can operate for years to come, and allow you to leave a legacy of support for Prairie.
Endowed Gifts
Prairie’s endowment operates like a long-term savings account, where the school uses a portion of the interest to fund daily operations, faculty development, and scholarships. The endowment is a critical part of Prairie’s past, present, and future stability. Our annual budget incorporates endowment income as a key piece of our overall revenue.
Gifts or pledges of any size may be made to the general endowment; with a gift or five-year pledge at $25,000 and more, a donor may choose to create a named fund with their contributions, which can be made at any point in the year using a variety of gift vehicles – from cash to appreciated securities.

If TPS is already a part of your estate plan, please let us know so that we can express our gratitude; if you want to learn more about exploring this option, please contact Callie Atanasoff, Director of Philanthropy and Engagement.
