Student Experience
Scholar, artist, athlete, leader, _______.
At Prairie, every student is multidimensional. The opportunity to try is present in math as much as it is in physical education and music. We focus on shaping the whole person, encouraging students to strive for more – to be the best version of themselves. For some, that means providing support or accommodations to ensure their learning environment meets a specific need. For others, it means finding unexpected ways to lead within the classroom. In Middle and Upper School, co-curricular activities like clubs and sports allow students to find a passion or be part of a team. Academics are always important, but it’s the extras – the intentional, dynamic components of a Prairie education – that make it truly extraordinary.
Whether it’s bringing in colleges from across the country, curating a collection of books for a Primary School classroom, or supplying all of the necessary resources to launch a student club, the student experience at Prairie is possible because of your philanthropy.

A Lifetime of Impact
The impact you hope to have on Prairie can determine the type of gift you’d like to make. Below are two options that ensure our school can operate for years to come, and allow you to leave a legacy of support for Prairie.
Endowed Gifts
Prairie’s endowment operates like a long-term savings account, where the school uses a portion of the interest to fund daily operations, faculty development, and scholarships. The endowment is a critical part of Prairie’s past, present, and future stability. Our annual budget incorporates endowment income as a key piece of our overall revenue.
Gifts or pledges of any size may be made to the general endowment; with a gift or five-year pledge at $25,000 and more, a donor may choose to create a named fund with their contributions, which can be made at any point in the year using a variety of gift vehicles – from cash to appreciated securities.
