What Being a Hawk Means to Izzy:

“Everyone puts in a lot of effort and works hard to do well. We support each other during sports, and the community is very welcoming. It’s easy to talk to new people and get to know them,” Izzy shares.

Izzy’s commitment goes beyond the track and court. “She gives 150% at everything – on the court, the track, and in the classroom,” says Izzy’s advisor, Shannon Schafer. “Her excitement motivates those around her, and when she faces challenges, she finds ways to improve and grow.”

Kathleen Rooney, Head Track Coach, adds, “Izzy embodies the ideal teammate. Her dedication is evident, whether helping a freshman or designing team shirts. Her positive attitude is contagious, and she’s a role model through her understanding of the importance of offseason training.”
