What Being a Hawk Means to James:

“Being a Hawk means feeling the camaraderie that brings us together, where everyone supports each other. It’s about having teachers who genuinely care and want to help us succeed every step of the way,” James explains.

James truly embodies the core values of the Prairie community, excelling as a scholar, athlete, artist, and leader. His artistic talents shine in the 7th/8th Grade Musical like Newsies Jr. where he consistently demonstrates creativity and dedication. On the field and court, he competes in basketball, Croatia Club soccer, and club baseball, showing commitment and perseverance across sports. Academically, James is recognized for high achievement. At the same time, his innovative spirit is evident in his role as a test player for Isles of Ilkmaar, a game designed to teach data science.

As a homeroom representative and orientation leader, James ensures new students feel welcomed and supported. “His kindness and inclusivity are evident in his efforts to make every student feel valued, consistently going above and beyond to foster a positive environment,” adds Kelly Christensen, MS Math Teacher.

We are proud to celebrate James as a “Hawk You Should Know!”
