Boys' Soccer ⚽️

On Friday, September 13th, the Hawks traveled to St. Augustine Prep and lost 4-0 to the #2 ranked Lions (WIAA Division 3). Despite going down three in the first half, Coach Joe Manley credited the boys’ response to defend with more attention. Showing their character, they created quality chances in the second half but ultimately couldn’t capitalize.

On Monday, September 16th, the team hosted #9 ranked Lake Country Lutheran (WIAA Division 4) and fell 3-2. The teams were evenly balanced early before the Lightning scored in the 35th minute. The Hawks answered just before halftime with a header from Gabi Kuvshinikov ’25 off a free kick from Brennen Luchun-Ledvina ’26. The second half grew more physical, but Coach Manley credited the boys for keeping their heads and continuing to battle. Falling behind 2-1 in the 65th, the Hawks again answered off an own goal from the Lightning’s keeper, but LCL ultimately scored the game-winner in the 75th minute.

Making some early mistakes on Wednesday, September 18th, the Hawks went into halftime trailing Kenosha St. Joe’s 3-1. After making some tactical adjustments, including moving Kuvshinikov to center back, the Hawks got a quick second half goal from Roy Rivera ’26, assisted by Arnav Deshpande ’25. After that the Lancers could not keep up with Prairie’s offensive pressure. Rivera added two more goals, and Sonny Wilton ’25 added his second goal of the game off an assist from Phil Ginestel ’27 to seal a 5-3 victory. Coach Manley credited Victor Rossi ’28 for having his best game as a varsity starter, setting the tone with his tackling and possession in the midfield. Kuvshinikov provided a solid foundation and leadership at center back, while Wilton and Rivera gave options going forward and took the chances they were given to score.

Girls' Volleyball 🏐

Facing tough competition, the Hawks battled through adversity at the Kettle Moraine Invite on September 13th and 14th.
