Prairie Fund
Purpose: Tuition does not cover the full cost of educating a Prairie student, and the Prairie Fund helps fill that gap. When we exceed our Prairie Fund goal, we are then able to add or enhance current programs and spaces.
TIming: Prairie’s fiscal year runs from July 1 – June 30 each year. All pledges to the Prairie Fund must be paid on or before June 30th to count in the current fiscal year.
Designation: If you make an unrestricted gift to the Prairie Fund, it will be funneled to the area of highest need. However, donors may also choose to designate their Prairie Fund gift to a specific department, division, or program.
Impact: In 2020-21, the Prairie community raised over $1,000,000 in the Prairie Fund. Which helped provide experiences that make our school the best in Wisconsin.

Endowment
Purpose: Prairie’s endowment operates like a long-term savings account, where the school uses a portion of the interest to fund daily operations, financial aid, and scholarships.
TIming: Endowment contributions can be made at any point in the year.
Designation: Gifts or pledges below $25,000 can be made to the general endowment; at $25,000 and up, donors may choose to designate their contributions to a specific area.
Impact: The endowment is a critical part of Prairie’s past, present, and future stability. Our annual budget incorporates endowment income as a key piece of our overall revenue.
