$3,457.50 = Total raised during this year’s all-school food drive
Every November, our campus and classrooms buzz with excitement about exams, basketball games, scouting events and more. Outside of Prairie, soup kitchens swell with volunteers and food pantries go into overdrive, passing out turkeys, canned food, vegetables and even clothing.
This year, students were challenged to take a moment and learn about hunger in our community and to also support local families. Students and teachers took the challenge and raised over $3,400 for the Racine County Food Bank (RCFB). Job well done!
Help Us Continue to Support the RCFB
Purchase a Giving Garden Cookbook (cash or checks payable to TPS) from the Upper School office. C.L.A.S.S. has already sold 81 books beyond the initial cost of the project. This means a monetary donation of $1,620 will go directly to RCFB. With plenty of books still available, C.L.A.S.S would like to double the donation to $3,240! The challenge: 81 by 1/8. That’s 81 more books by January 8, 2015. Can we do it? The student-created cookbook features tasty recipes from the TPS community and would make a great holiday gift! And it’s typically after the holidays that donations to food banks decrease.
