Nest

For students entering 4K or Kindergarten

The Hawk’s Nest is where it all begins! This is, for many of our youngest campers, their first experience at Hawks’ Haven – so we make sure to make it great. Campers develop and grow through a diverse set of interactive skill-building activities including creative arts, musical exploration, fine and gross-motor skill building, athletics, and fundamental number and language recognition. All activities encourage campers to be individually creative, experimental and imaginative.

The cornerstone of all of our summer programs is learning through play. Campers partake in an array of exciting activities that develop group and social awareness, build self-confidence, and develop cognitive skills and creative thinking…all while having fun!  Sample activities include nature scavenger hunts, singing and dancing,  and fundamentals of soccer, and a typical day’s schedule could be:

The adventure of a lifetime awaits! Campers build their own adventure through wacky science experiments, themed dress-up days, friendly and competitive fitness activities, adventurous field trips,  fun academic challenges, and much more. Within an energetic, nurturing community, campers develop their creativity and individuality.

Studies show that students can lose up to two months of math and reading skills over their summer vacation. Campers use fun activities like basketball, soccer and scavenger hunts to drive their academic retention.  In the PRIMARY, students have tons of fun, maintain important skills learned during the school year, build upon those skills, and develop the groundwork for a fundamental love of learning.

Middle

For students entering grades 5-8

It’s time to choose your own path. Campers delve into a myriad of fun and challenging skill building activities including Culinary Projects, adventurous off-campus field trips, STEM (Science. Technology. Engineering. Math.), HIM and HERs (How it’s Made and How Engineering Relates), and daily high energy sporting activities. All explorers focus of developing their leadership skills and catering to their individual passions.

Students retain more when they are interested in a topic. Campers are encouraged to explore their interests, research the details and history behind their interests, and develop a profound understanding of the interaction between their interest and the world around them. Campers lead discussions between campmates and share their discoveries within the group.
