2015 Summer Theater Camps: Lights. Camera. Action!

This summer we’re excited to add a series of performing arts workshops that will develop young actors, singers, and performers.

“Glee” Camp

Act, dance and sing in Glee style! Experience what it’s like to put on a Glee performance like the hit TV show. You’ll work hard and have lots of fun in this day camp setting. A performance for family and friends will take place on the last day.

  • June 15 – 19 (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
  • Tuition: $475, for children entering grades 6-11

Singing for the Actor

Learn professional vocal techniques as you connect voice and body for a dynamic performance. Students will work on their 16-bar song that can be used for auditions for musical theater. A performance for family and friends will take place on the last day.

  • July 6 -10 (12:00 – 2:00 p.m.)
  • Tuition: $200, for children entering grades 2-5

On-Camera Acting Technique

Learn how to analyze your script and stay in the moment with authentic, relationship-driven behavior. Actors will learn audition techniques while working on-camera using a variety of scripted materials. Students have landed roles in film, stage, and television productions using these tried and true techniques. These same techniques will help students deliver effective school presentations.

  • July 6-10 (2:15 - 4:00 p.m.)
  • Tuition: $150, for children entering grades 2-5

Theater Games & Improv

Unleash your creativity and self-expression! Learn to think on your feet and improve your listening and reacting skills. Directors value actors who are comfortable with improvisation since they can add dimension to the scripted material. The spontaneity of improvisation requires your intellectual, physical, and intuitive involvement which brings to light your unique characteristics.

  • July 6-10 (4:15 - 6:00 p.m.)
  • Tuition: $100, for children entering grades 4-8
