Middle School Activities & Clubs

The Middle School is a busy place! Besides high-quality academics, students enjoy a wide variety of opportunities to explore and excel beyond the classroom.

Tech Club (Tuesday 3:45 – 4:30 p.m. in M20)

Meets daily for “cart duty” – delivering and retrieving computer carts for use by classrooms around the school, and weekly for learning some of the fun ways technology can be used – from web design to animation and more. English Fest (lunch meetings throughout the year, TBA)

Reading and discussing books throughout the year leads up to a fun conference in the spring, including meeting authors and interacting with other students. Contact: Mrs. Gasser, [email protected]

5/6 Math Plus (Tues. 3:45-4:30 p.m. in M6)

For students desiring extra support for current in-class work as well as those wanting to be stretched with challenging problems and puzzles. Contact: Mr. Steig, [email protected]

7/8 Math Club (TBA)

Students enjoy enriching math activities while preparing for math competitions. Contact: Mrs. Warren, [email protected]

Rocket Science (Thurs. 3:45-4:30 p.m. in M1, beginning Oct. 15, 2015)

It’s more than rocketry! Come when you are able as we explore rocketry and many other interesting science topics. Contact: Mrs. Albers, [email protected]

Story Chasers (Wed. 3:45-4:30 p.m. in M11)

Do you love to write?  Do you wish you were a better writer?  Come anytime and bring your ideas, or something you’re working on.  You also have the opportunity to join a Young Writer’s November Writing project (a national writing initiative) or sign up for an assignment for the 5th-8th-grade newspaper team. World Language Clubs (Every other A day during lunch)
